DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Cleans offices, storerooms, corridors, stairways, pro shop, snack bar and party rooms. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors using brooms, mops, vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers and buffers. Steam cleans carpet on a regular re-occurring basis. Dusts, waxes and polishes furniture. Empties ashtrays and wastebaskets. Cleans windows and blinds, which require the use of a ladder. 2. Keeps clubhouse facility restrooms in clean, orderly and sanitary condition. Cleans, disinfects and deodorized lavatories, urinals and toilet bowls. Cleans mirrors, sinks and water fountains. Dusts ledges and woodwork. Replaces deodorizers, toilet tissue, hand towels and soap. Notes condition of facilities and reports to supervisor water leaks, clogged drains and other conditions requiring maintenance. 3. Cleans the on-course restroom facilities and the on-course snack bar. The use of a high-powered heavy duty pressure washer is used to accomplish this task. Additionally, this requires the use of golf course vehicles to transport supplies and equipment over 150 acres to insure the highest cleaning standards are met. 4. Performs seasonal tasks as required such as applying ice control material to entrances of buildings, shoveling snow, and picking up litter around the facilities. 5. Keeps a stock of cleaning materials and equipment needed to do the work. Informs supervisor when more materials are needed or when equipment needs repair or replacement. 6. Arranges tables for special functions to include buffet tables. This includes the setting up and removal of tables, which requires moving them up and down stairs. Additionally, this requires the set-up of chaffing dishes, “dressing” tables with skirts and table clothes, silverware, china, condiments, etc. 7. Performs other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS At least 3 years of previous experience or training is required. Must have skill in the proper use of cleaning and sanitizing solutions. Must be able to clean and make adjustments to powered cleaning equipment. Must be able to perform the full range of cleaning duties. Must be able to follow oral and/or written instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps. Must be physically able to occasionally lift and carry objects weighing 75 pounds or more. A current driver’s license is required. Must be able to continuously stand, bend, stoop, and reach for long periods of time. Subject to furlough from 1 Nov - 31 Mar of each year. Satisfactory completion of a pre-employment physical.
