We have openings for manager positions in the Southern New Jersey region where our programs are located in Howell, Morganville, East Brunswick and West Long Branch. As a manager you would be responsible for one of the Group Homes within this region.
A Group Home Manager supervises a residential program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, sensory impairments as well as complex medical and behavioral support needs. As part of a team of professionals, managers work to empower the individuals we support to learn new skills, exercise choices, make connections in the community, and achieve their life goals.
Duties include program management, supervising & scheduling staff; ensuring quality services are provided; IHP planning and implementation and all required documentation. All manager positions involve hands on work including assistance with personal hygiene, medication administration, daily household chores and support in the community.
Must be able to work a flexible full time schedule, including evenings and some weekends.
Must be able to be on call.
Everas provides specialized, paid training for all employees to ensure that each team member has the tools needed to perform responsibilities. Employees must be able to complete training requirements within the specified time frames. Courses include CPR, First Aid, Sign Language, Behavior Management, Deaf-Blind Supports. If hired, in addition to working your shift, you are required to successfully complete these trainings in order to remain employed. You will get paid your regular pay rate to participate in these trainings. All trainings are held at our main office in Somerset.

Experience in DDD licensed programs, preferably as a manager or assistant manager
Must have valid driver's license & good driving record
Minimum of high school diploma; some college preferred
Strong organizational & follow-up skills
Strong interpersonal & professional communication skills
Must be a team player
A commitment to the ongoing relationship with the individuals you are serving
Must be able to work a flexible full time schedule, including evenings and some weekends
Must be able to be on call
