Responsible for facilitating vendor pick up issues surrounding scheduling conflict, missed pick-ups, equipment needs and driver issues with our transportation carrier.
Responsible for vendor resolution on Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)/ Advance Shipping Notice (ASN) issues relating to vendors not providing an ASN or labeling issues which result in scan failure or label compliance.
Organizes and maintains file system, files correspondence and other records.
Performs data entry into automated programs to track department activity and maintain reports, or other pertinent data, depending on assignment.
Communicates issues to supervisor and resolves issues as appropriate.
Assists the Non Con Supervisor with miss reads, no reads, identifying and correcting problem resolution freight/cartons.
Assists the Inbound Supervisor on putting shipments systemically on the door based on the daily production plan.
Assists the Outbound Supervisor with finalizing outbound trailers and completing the documents necessary for processing from tender to driver daily.
Maintains a clean and safe work area and adheres to all company policies/procedures and safety practices at all times.
Assists in other departments as needed and performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Prior experience in warehouse, distribution cross dock or consolidation.
Must be detail oriented and have excellent follow up skills.
The ability to work required schedules, including overtime; days and hours can fluctuate to meet the needs of the business.
Must be able to continually lift, carry, push and pull merchandise up to 35lbs., and occasionally up to 70lbs.
Must be able to continually stand, bend, stoop, twist, and reach.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks or projects.
Must have “meets expectations” in attendance, conduct, safety and performance record.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills required; sense of urgency is a must.
Experience in safe and efficient operating of material handling equipment, including but not limited to reach truck, pallet rider, and forklift.
Experience working with RF equipment and warehouse management system.
Basic computer and clerical experience is required.
Ability to communicate effectively-verbally and in writing with customers, associates, supervisors, and managers.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as product descriptions, warehouse signs, safety rules, and operating instructions.
